Services
Mount Wise Dental Practice offers a full range of NHS services to our existing patients including help and advice on how to help avoid dental disease and prevent tooth decay.
We are always happy to provide advice and referrals, if necessary, for any aspect of your Oral Healthcare needs. Orthodontic treatment is available for your children, to help improve the appearance of crowded or protruding teeth.
For patients who are disabled, or housebound and unable to visit the surgery, we may be able to arrange a home visit. Please ask for further information on this type of care.
If you have any questions regarding any of our services, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01752 500992 or by e-mail:
What treatment can we offer?
We are able to offer most types of treatment, with the exception of Implants and sedation, and we are happy to refer patients to a suitable practice where these things are required.
Certain types of treatment can only be provided privately, for example cosmetic crowns and tooth lightening. We will always provide a written estimate for all types of treatment, both NHS and Private after your initial visit to us.
Who will we treat?
We are happy to treat patients of all ages, and do encourage families to start bringing their children from a very young age so that we can make sure that teeth are developing as they should, and that you have the most up-to-date advice for the care of your child’s teeth.
Paying for your treatment
We are presently only able to take cheque or cash payment for treatment. You will always receive a written estimate for the cost of your treatment after your first visit.
If you do not normally need to pay for NHS treatment it is important that you bring the relevant forms and paperwork with you when you attend for treatment, as we are required to check it.
Denplan
We can see patients under Denplan, where regular monthly payments are made, thereby avoiding sudden unexpected high dental bills. Please ask our staff if you wish to know more about how Denplan may be useful to you.
Access
Unfortunately due to the limitations of our building we cannot provide wheelchair access. We may, however, be able to arrange for a visit to housebound patients or those with severe mobility problems.
Parking
If you need to use your car to visit us there is usually plenty of FREE street parking close by. The nearest bus-stop is at Cumberland Gardens, or for the more energetic, we are approximately twenty minutes brisk walk from the city centre.
Appointments
To book an appointment please call the surgery on 01752 500992.
If you find that you will be unable to attend an appointment we ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hours notice, in order that we can re-book the surgery time. Where surgery time is wasted, due to insufficient notice you may be charged for unused time.
